Moringa Oleifera

Popularly known as Malunggay in the Philippines, this tree belongs to the only genus in the family Moringaceae. It is the most extensively propagated tree of its kind. This tree is packed with nutritional value and has a wide range of medicinal and therapeutic properties, which ultimately made many to refer to it as the “miracle tree”.

The tree is known to have originated in sub-Himalayan regions of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and it is today widely cultivated and rapidly growing in other countries such as Malaysia, Latin America, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore.

Moringa is an exceptionally nutritious vegetable tree with a variety of potential uses. The tree itself is rather slender, with drooping branches that grow to approximately 10 m in height. In cultivation, it is often cut back annually to 1 meter or less and allowed to regrow so that pod and leaves remain within arm's reach. Virtually every part of the Moringa tree is edible or has significant use, making it one of the world’s most useful trees.

What made Moringa Oleifera achieve its worldwide fame is because of its exceptionally potent mix of essential and disease-preventing nutrients, which are unusually better than most other food sources. It is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamic C, Vitamin D, Vitamin K Vitamin E, Calcium,  Iron and amino acids. It is said to be an almost complete vitamin.

India's ancient tradition says the leaves of the Moringa tree prevent 300 diseases. Modern science confirms the basic idea. Scientific research has proven that these humble leaves are in fact a powerhouse of nutritional value.

It can save millions and an answer to the worlds malnutrition.

Today, scientists and medical experts are placing Moringa under continuous research and development to unlock other untapped potential it may have.
